Our Story
MakeKit was founded by Henning Pedersen and Steinar Holøs. Both have a genuine interest in technology and have a great passion for making education relevant, interesting and inspiring. It all started with Makeadrone, by Henning Pedersen. He wanted everyone to experience the joy of building their own drone. In 2018 Henning and Steinar found that they together can use this foundation to make a difference in educational kits. They teamed up and founded MakeKit in 2019 with a goal of creating maker friendly kits for education. The first kit to be launched was the Air:bit in the fall of 2019, and it was a huge success as the worlds first and only micro:bit drone. Air:bit is one of the most advanced and exciting kits for the micro:bit to this day.

Our focus is using environmentally friendly materials, and we are always working on becoming even more sustainable.
We mainly use locally made materials and make our products durable, repairable, reusable and recyclable.
